As we are all navigating through the ever-evolving pandemic, French Broad Crossing, a Preserve Community, is dedicated to helping our neighbors in Western North Carolina (WNC). Whether you live here currently or have plans to relocate to this beautiful mountain area, you know how truly amazing this place is.
Over the past few weeks, we have been overwhelmed by acts of kindness, shows of support, and courageous feats throughout this close-knit community. We are constantly inspired by the generosity of each and every one of you. As such, we wanted to ensure that we could contribute in a meaningful way.
French Broad Crossing has again partnered with MANNA FoodBank, who is currently deploying thousands of meals throughout WNC. As it is getting more challenging to source needed supplies, we have donated $10,000 to assist with their hunger relief efforts during this time. This donation will provide 40,000 meals.
We are also extending a matching grant to Beacon of Hope, a local nonprofit organization that serves Madison County by providing food, a low-cost thrift store and advocacy for those in need. In March, they were able to serve over 800 families; and they anticipate the need in the coming months will be much higher. Food packages for low-income families are offered Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Friends, please join us in lifting up our neighbors in need. For every dollar donated to this campaign by April 30, we will match it up to $5,000. You can donate through the Preserve Communities’ giving arm, the James Fisher Memorial Foundation, by clicking on the button below. For just $15, you can donate 60 meals (and then we’ll double it!).
We are incredibly proud to be part of this special mountain community. The engagement, compassion and resilience of friends near and far truly exemplifies how we are all in this together.
Now, let’s help Beacon of Hope Double the Donation!
