Asheville Named “Coziest City in America”

Honeywell Heaters recently released its annual poll: Top Ten Coziest Cities in America. At the top of the list—as in #1—was Asheville.

The culturally sophisticated Western North Carolina town beat out 2) Boston MA, 3) Salinas GA, 4) Portland OR, and 5) Portland MA. According to the poll requirements, cities were judged on a number of criteria, factoring in restaurants, coffee shops, museums, florists, breweries, bed-and-breakfasts, specialty grocery stores, bookstores, and bakeries. Asheville, of course, is no stranger to national recognition, having garnered a number of coveted awards and accolades over the years, such as:
