Preserve Communities Raises $44,000 for MANNA FoodBank

Grand Opening of State-of-the-Art Equestrian Center

It was a lovely autumn day on Saturday, October 7 for the inaugural $25,000 Grand Prix Benefit Calcutta, held at The Preserve at Little Pine, just outside of Marshall, NC. Some 300+ guests were on hand to witness the exciting competition that featured world-class riders and horses—and to see the unveiling of the new million-dollar Equestrian Center. This prestigious event showcased some of the finest horse-and-rider teams in the world at the new facilities that are set in a natural amphitheater, surrounded by the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains.

The overall winner was Christina Fisher, riding Conero, who donated her prize money to the $36,500 that was raised during the Calcutta Auction. In total, the $44,000 raised by Preserve Communities will provide 154,000 meals for MANNA FoodBank. “We are thrilled that so many people came out for this great event,” says Preserve Communities Founder & Chairman, Jack Fisher. “We are proud to be able to raise money for MANNA FoodBank, who does great work every day to help those who go hungry in Western North Carolina.”
